STEP 2

Luxury bedding looks beautiful and feels soft to touch. There are sheets, pillowcases, comforters, duvet covers, shams and bed skirts made of luxury fabrics like fine Egyptian cotton, silk, muslin, satin, and linen.

Silk

Silk is a natural protein fiber that can be woven into textiles. It is obtained from the cocoon of the silkworm larva, in the process known as sericulture. The shimmering appearance for which it is prized for comes from the fibers' triangular prism-like structure, which allows the silk cloth to refract incoming light at different angles.

Silk bedding provides additional comfort and ensures sweet and sound sleep. It gives a touch of royalty and luxurious feel to your bed.

Satin

Satin is a cloth that typically has a glossy surface and a dull back. A satin is a warp dominated weaving technique that forms a minimum number of interlacings in a fabric. If a fabric is formed with a satin weave using filament fibers such as silk or nylon the corresponding fabric is termed a "satin."

Egyptian Cotton

It is a fine, lustrous, long staple cotton grown in Egypt. Long staple cottons are more expensive than the commonly available cottons. It has high luster and a softer feel. It is considered the finest grade of cotton. It is used to make very fine yarns and expensive, high quality fabrics.

Muslin

Muslin is a type of finely-woven cotton fabric. Used as a neutral background in quilt blocks. Muslin is an undyed cotton fabric, available bleached (white) or unbleached (ecru). Available in a wide range of qualities - a fine quality bleached muslin is often used in quilting as a neutral background for appliqué or as a foundation under thinner fabric.

Linen

Linen is descriptive of yarns spun entirely from flax fibers, or fabrics woven from linen yarns. It is strong, durable, and resists rotting in damp climates. It is one of the few textiles that have a greater breaking strength, wet than dry. It has a long "staple" (individual strand length) relative to cotton and other natural fibers. The fiber in its un-spun state is called flax. After it is spun into yarn it becomes linen. Linen beds are very smooth and soft that provide endless comfort.
